Our Objectives

A non-profit collective enterprise, onlinesocialjustice.com is a response to social media convergence in which we as scholars and informed citizens share information and practices concerning the future of web-based social justice.

One central idea of the onlinesocialjustice project is to develop a framework for critically understanding what communicative creativity trends are taking place that rely on convergence. We want to take these understandings and find ways to imagine a more dynamic model of social justice that could include an appreciation of new forms of agency, and obstacles to agency, in the context of the rapidly expanding social uses of the net.  The ultimate objective is to understand and promote a web-based 'social justice 2.0'. 

To contribute content and be listed on our page as a contributor/research associate with contact information, please do not hesitate to contact us!  There are many ways to become involved, the sky's the limit.

We want to be scholar-friendly, yet accessible to the concerned citizen. In the days to come, we plan to include such features as:

- a list of references about online social justice

- information about social justice movements and initiatives
